Defining 'guido'

Typically, the 2010 guido is Italian, but does not have to be (a Philippino friend from Staten Island tells me there are Philippino guidos), has big muscles or at least strives to/values it, puts significant work into his appearance which involves not only working out but tanning, eyebrow waxing, styling his hair into a gelled-up, spiked-up-and-out 'do called a "blowout," looking "fresh" with a button-down collared shirt or t-shirt (favorite brands are Armani Exchange, Affliction, and Ed Hardy), and clean, scuff-free sneakers. Guidos often wear jewelry such as modest pendant necklaces or gold chains, crucifixes, and large diamond or cubic zirconia stud earrings. They typically enjoy going to the beach and the club, because these are great places to pick up girls. Getting lots of girls is highly valued in guido culture. When they go out to the clubs, guidos most often choose clubs that play house music.
